Gates open at 3 p.m., with launch at 6:30-7 p.m. Design your own lantern, and send your own well wishes aglow across the lake. Food trucks will be on-site, along with music and fun.

If you're a breast-cancer survivor, the paddlers of NBP Survivors In Sync relate — they're fellow survivors who unite for competition, but also as friends, supporters and more. The SISters share a bond beyond their paddles. But once on the water, they're fierce, either recreationally or in competition. Come try dragon boat paddling! There's room for you in the boat!

Join us for a special evening of trick-or-treating the whole family will enjoy! Get into the spirit by enjoying Halloween favorites for the entire family by the lake on Regatta Island. Come dressed in your spookiest, silliest, star-studded costumes for an evening of trick-or-treating along a candy trail of not-too-spooky themed booths decorated by community organizations. Plus, there will be an area for interactive play, storytelling and live music, and "Hotel Transylvania" will play on our large video screen, The event is free, but parking is $5 per vehicle on Regatta Island. Across the nation, the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's is full of flowers, each carried by someone committed to ending this disease. Because like flowers, our participants don't stop when something's in their way. They keep raising funds and awareness for a breakthrough in the fight against Alzheimer's and all other dementia. Event begins at 8 a.m. and walk begins at 9 a.m.

No experience necessary! Learn to Row is an introduction to sculling that focuses on the fundamentals of sculling (rowing with two oars). Individuals will be taken step by step through nomenclature, safety maneuvers, and independent boat handling skills. This eight-hour course will provide you with the skill set to safely row a single scull. Class is 9 a.m.-noon. Enrollment is capped at eight students. Benefits Tidewell Hospice and other Empath Health functions in the region. Kids Dash is at 7:15 a.m., with the 5K at 8 a.m. and one-miler at 8:15 a.m. The food and vendor fair opens at 9 a.m. This is the former Tidewell Turkey Trot, previously held in Lakewood Ranch.
