This is the first of a four-regatta series organized by Sarasota Crew. The AYC I and AYC IV regattas will be at NBP (AYC IV will be May 14-15), while AYC II and AYC III will be in Aiken, S.C., at Langley Pond.
TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS: There will be traffic restrictions around the park (and a free shuttle!).Â

Regatta Island access: From noon Friday through 7 p.m. Sunday, access will be limited to those with an NBP parking pass or circus show tickets. Program participants will be advised of their access.
West shore access: World Championship Drive from the playground south to the Athletes Drive intersection will close all day Saturday and Sunday. That stretch of street will reopen at 6 a.m. Monday.

Athletes Drive access from Honore Avenue: Athletes Drive will be open to cars only as far as the west lake parking lot. From that point further into the park, only pedestrian access will be allowed.
South Boat Ramp entrance access from North Cattlemen Road: No restrictions Friday, and a shuttle will run 1:30-5:30 p.m. for rowers to access Regatta Island. The entrance will be for PAID parking for regatta spectators 6 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. This will also be the access point for Saturday’s Zumba participants to access the 500-meter restroom area.
Mote Lot: On Saturday and Sunday, PAID parking for regatta spectators.
FREE SHUTTLE: From the South Boat Ramp to Regatta Island on Friday 1:30-5:30 p.m. On Saturday and Sunday, from 6 a.m.-5 p.m., stops will also include the East grand entrance of the UTC mall (near Kona Grill) and the UTC West District green (near the paper store).
