Events

The ninth stop on the South Florida Half Marathon Tour is the Sarasota West Coast Half Marathon and 5k at Nathan Benderson Park. ​ The scenic course takes runners through and around the University Town Center area with nearly constant water views. ​Then it's on to the most unique finish in running, the "Floating Final Mile" as runners literally run across the lake for over a mile until finishing in front of the large grandstand inside the park. Don't miss this unique event and its sparkling finisher's medal for BOTH the half marathon and 5k!

Our mission is to produce an exceptional series of triathlons that delivers a challenging multi-sport experience, courses geared to the needs, level of training, endurance capacity and personal goals of each athlete. In addition to providing a product for the seasoned athlete, we believe it's also important to introduce the sport of triathlon to those who may have never thought that they could compete in or complete a triathlon. It's FREE! Come try out paddling with no strings attached — there's a seat in the boat for you! The NBP Paddling Program uses dragon boats, outrigger canoes, kayaks and more. Whether you're interested in recreational paddling or you want to be competitive, we have a place for you — and we want to continue building out all-cancer-survivors and our NBP Veterans dragon boat teams! We provide the life jackets and paddles, so bring your sense of adventure and teamwork!
