NBP SUMMER CAMP
AND NBP MINICAMPS

THE BASICS

Ages: 6-14
Pickup and Drop-off Location: Under the Benderson Family Finish Tower
Times: 9 a.m.-5 p.m. All camps have half-day and full-day options.
• Drop-off is 8:30-9 a.m. Early drop-off at 7:30 a.m. is $15.
• Pick-up 4:45-5:30 p.m. Late pick-up by 6:30pm is $15.
• Late fee – after 6:30 p.m., $10 for every 5 minutes authorized pick-up is late. 
Fees: $150 for half-day campers and $285 for full-day campers (NOTE: Week 1 begins June 1, and fees are $120 for half-day and $225 for full-day.)

WATER ADVENTURE CAMP

Each day, campers will participate in different water sports — kayaking, canoeing, rowing, sailing and stand-up paddleboarding! Campers will learn the basics of each discipline and, more important, boating safety. On-land instruction and safety requirements accompany all activities before campers get out on the water, so they obtain the knowledge and safety skills needed. Campers will be issued PFDs for on-water activities.


NBP ULTIMATE CAMP

Morning session (mornings) — Archery on Monday and Tuesday, and Freshwater Fishing on Wednesday and Thursday. Campers will gain experience to become independent, educated, safe archers, and will learn the essentials of safe fishing. Campers will learn the rod and reel, tackle, knots, casting, bait, and boating safety. All of our camp staffers hold at least a Level 1 National Archery Association certification.

Afternoon session (afternoons) — Water Adventure Camp activities (stand-up paddleboarding, sailing, kayaking, canoeing and rowing) all weekCampers will learn the basics of each discipline and, more important, boating safety. On-land instruction and safety requirements accompany all activities before campers get out on the water, so they obtain the knowledge and safety skills needed. Campers will be issued PFDs for on-water activities.


ARCHERY & FRESHWATER FISHING CAMP 

Archery: Campers will gain experience to become independent, educated, safe archers. All of our camp staff holds at least a Level 1 National Archery Association certification. 

Fishing: Learn the essentials of safe fishing! Campers will learn the rod and reel assembly, types of tackle, types of knots, casting, bait, fishing, and boating safety while they’re out on the water.


LEARN TO SAIL CAMP

Afternoon session only. No experience necessary! Campers will acquire foundational knowledge in the concepts of sailing. They will learn nomenclature, knots, and safe sailing practices. On-land instruction and safety requirements accompany all activities before campers get out on the water, so they obtain the knowledge and safety skills needed. Campers will be issued PFDs for on-water activities.


LEARN TO ROW CAMP

Morning session only. No experience necessary! Learn to row camp focuses on the fundamentals of rowing. Individuals will be taken step by step through nomenclature, safety maneuvers, and independent boat handling skills. This camp will provide campers with the skill set to safely row a single scull and other rowing shells. On-land instruction and safety requirements accompany all activities before campers get out on the water, so they obtain the knowledge and safety skills needed. Campers will be issued PFDs for on-water activities.

How to prepare
      Please make sure your child has a healthy breakfast prior to arrival at NBP.
      Apply sunscreen at home and send some with your child so he/she may reapply during the day.
      Bring sunglasses, a hat and water shoes (or shoes that can get wet)
      Bring a large bottle of water (We will have the ability to refill water bottles)
      Bring snacks and, for full-day campers, bring lunch.
      For designated down time throughout the day, bring a favorite book or tablet
