These include Sertoma Kids Speech and Language Center\, which serves families regardless of their ability to pay. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAll profits from My Hometown Fest support the Sertoma Club of Greater Sarasota and Sertoma Kids Speech and Language Center. Both are area nonprofits that serve children and adults struggling with speech\, language and hearing challenges. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEach year\, My Hometown Fest draws thousands of people from Florida’s Suncoast for a day of fun featuring food from dozens of area restaurants\, craft beer samples from around the country\, and live music from the region’s best bands. The event features plenty of family friendly activities as well. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSince its founding in 2016\, My Hometown Fest has raised more than $50\,000 in direct support for local children and adults battling with speech\, language and hearing challenges\, and all funds raised during the event stay right here in our area!

See more at www.srqtrifest.com. \nTRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS MARCH 12-13 — Vehicular traffic around Nathan Benderson Park will be restricted as follows:\n• North Cattlemen Road will become one lane in each direction (in the northbound lanes) around the entire park\n• World Championship Drive will be closed in its entirety (from the playground to the south boat ramp)\n• The NBP west lakes will be accessible from Athletes Drive\, off Honore Avenue\n• Parking will be in the Mote lot north of the park (near the bus station)\n• Pedestrian access to the park remains open \n\nRestrictions will be in force during these times:\nFriday\, March 11: 11 a.m.-3:45 p.m.\nSaturday\, March 12: 6:30 a.m.-6:15 p.m. (World Championship Drive closed all day)\nSunday\, March 13: 7:15 a.m.-2:45 p.m.\n\nACCESS TO REGATTA ISLAND WILL BE LIMITED. NBP Paddling Program and NBP Community Rowing Club members will be briefed on team plans for the weekend. Vehicle traffic onto the island will be restricted to event staff and participants\, and only during times to be announced.
