A foster-care awareness event for the whole family — register at 5khero.com. Registration includes a shirt and post-race breakfast. There will be music, food and prizes.

Waves of 10K runners will start at 7:30 a.m., and waves of 5K runners will begin at 9 a.m. A kids fun run will begin at 8:30 a.m.

Awards for the fastest male and female, the best male and female superhero costumes, the best superhero pet, the best superhero family, and a team spirit award for the team with the most runners. Medals for the top three in each age group.
