Head Of The 941 Regatta

Formerly known as Head Of The Hog. A “head race” is rowing parlance for a distance race, usually at least 4 km long (our championship course is 2 km long), so this race will use the entirety of Cooper Creek Lake.

Traffic and water restrictions will be place Nov. 20-21 for the Head of the 941 Regatta:
STREET CLOSURE: World Championship Drive (along the west shore) will be closed from the playground entrance to Athletes Drive.
WATER ACCESS: South boat ramp will be closed. Cooper Creek Lake will also be closed.
PARKING: Parking on the island will be pre-purchase only; parking at the park’s south end (near the starting pavilion) will be free. The playground parking lot will be closed.
TROLLEY SHUTTLE: A trolley will run 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, and will stop at the east entrance of The Mall at University Town Center, the fountain at the West District of UTC (by Michaels), NBP’s Regatta Island and the NBP south entrance off North Cattlemen Road.
CASUAL USERS OF THE PARK: Please park at the south end of the park. Athletes Drive from Honore Avenue to World Championship Drive is open for your access, as is the south boat ramp entrance off North Cattlemen Road.
