Led by energetic and experienced team building coaches, Nathan Benderson Park’s team building program builds on the park’s reputation as a world-class center for sports training and competition. Utilizing these assets and 600-acre community park setting, we offer vetted activities designed to reinforce your culture, build positive relationships and enhance your team’s skills in communication, problem-solving, decision-making, adaptability, trust and conflict resolution.

Park Info

We are a 600 acre park with a 400 acre lake used for aquatic sports programs and competions. Paved and shell recreation trails surround the perimeter.

 

Venue Rental

We offer several indoor and outdoor spaces for birthdays, celebrations, 5Ks and more.

Programs

With everything from yoga to community rowing, dragon boat paddling and model sailboats we offer a variety of aquatic and fitness programs. 

Camps

We offer a variety of camps from summer camps, to day camps to boater safety camp with Spirit of America!

Equipment Rentals

Rent a variety of aquatic equipment such as kayaks or stand-up paddleboards.

Events

Join us for a music festival, food truck rally or fireworks over the lake! We have a calendar full of events for you to enjoy.

Training

Our world-class facilities and subperb service are perfect for teams looking to train in aquatic sports.

The park is nice, there are biking and walking trails (covered with asphalt) and there is even a nature trail that runs parallel and close to the walking trail (covered in crushed shells and gravel). There are restrooms and a playground for kids. Overall, it’s a great place to get some fresh air, go for a stroll, and catch a glimpse of herons, limpkins, ducks, and egrets.

Located in Sarasota, Fla., Nathan Benderson Park (NBP) is a unique 600-acre community park that includes North America’s premier 2,000-meter sprint rowing course and a regatta center.

One of a handful of sites in the United States identified as having all of the natural attributes that make up a world-class rowing and recreational facility, Nathan Benderson Park began hosting organized regatta competitions in 2009.
